Taiwan Hardware Show 2026: Buyer Preparation Guide

Two Taiwan hardware trade shows run on October 20–22, 2026: the Taiwan Hardware Show (THS) in Taipei and TiTE x IHT in Taichung. Use this guide to choose where to spend your days, what to bring, what to ask at each booth and how to turn show conversations into quotations you can compare.

Direct answer

How Should a Buyer Prepare for the Taiwan Hardware Show 2026?

Start by choosing the right show: the Taiwan Hardware Show (THS) runs October 20–22, 2026 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2, and TiTE x IHT runs the same days at the Taichung International Convention & Exhibition Center. Register online before you travel, shortlist exhibitors by product and process, carry a non-confidential RFQ summary instead of controlled drawings, ask every booth the same capability questions, and send one controlled RFQ within about a week so the replies can be compared.

  • Pick the show by product area: THS lists locks and building hardware, both list fasteners, and TiTE x IHT lists architectural hardware.
  • Bring a one-page RFQ summary and a booth record; release controlled drawings only after the recipient and NDA terms are agreed.
  • Within about a week, send every shortlisted exhibitor the same RFQ revision, quantities and delivery basis.
Editorial and reference basis:

Dates, venues, organizers, product areas and visitor services come from the organizers' official websites as checked on September 28, 2026, and may change; confirm them before booking travel. The booth record, questions and follow-up steps are TW RFQ editorial guidance. TW RFQ is not affiliated with either show or its organizers.

Decision framework

Booth Record for Every Supplier Conversation

Business cards alone rarely explain a conversation a week later. Fill in one record per booth while it is fresh, and mark anything the exhibitor described but did not show as unverified.

Record at each boothWhy it matters after the show

The two shows run on the same three days in different cities. Details are as published by each organizer on September 28, 2026; check the official sites for changes before you travel.

Choose the Show by Product Area, Not by Name

Neither show is dedicated to industrial enclosure hardware. The Taiwan Hardware Show lists locks, fasteners and building hardware among its main areas, while TiTE x IHT lists fasteners and fixings, architectural hardware, and metalworking and surface-treatment equipment. Cabinet latches, hinges and handles may appear at either show, usually within broader lock, hardware or metal-parts booths.

Search each organizer's exhibitor list or floor plan, once published, for the parts and processes you actually buy: cabinet lock, latch, hinge, handle, stamping, die casting, CNC machining, plating or powder coating. If you need custom brackets or stampings rather than catalog hardware, the Subcon themed zone at Taiwan Industry Week may be more relevant than the hardware halls; confirm the exhibitor mix before planning time there.

Can You Visit Both Shows?

Both shows run October 20–22, 2026, so seeing both means splitting the three days between Taipei and Taichung. The cities are linked by Taiwan High Speed Rail, but each venue also needs a local transfer, so plan a full day in each city rather than two venues in one afternoon. Check the official timetable when you book.

Register for each show separately. Taiwan Industry Week issues one free pass for the Taiwan Hardware Show and its co-located shows, and its travel page covers airport transfers, visas and partner hotels; TaiNEX 2 is reached on the Taipei MRT Blue Line. TiTE x IHT uses its own online registration and QR-code entry and advertises a free shuttle service.

Before You Travel: Register, Request Meetings and Build a Shortlist

Register online in advance and keep the QR code on your phone. If you want meetings arranged before you arrive, apply early to the organizer programs: Taiwan Industry Week advertises a complimentary Buyer Matching Program, and TiTE x IHT advertises matchmaking, limited housing subsidies and invitation letters for international buyers. Each organizer sets its own eligibility rules and deadlines.

Build a shortlist you can realistically visit, ranked by fit with your parts, and note what you need to learn at each booth. A short list with specific questions usually leads to better follow-up than collecting every catalog in the hall.

  • Visitor registration for each show you plan to attend
  • Buyer-program or matchmaking application, if you want pre-booked meetings
  • Exhibitor shortlist with hall and booth numbers
  • Entry, travel and hotel arrangements checked against official guidance

What to Bring, and What to Keep for Later

Bring a one-page RFQ summary: the part family, installed application, material and finish, first-order and annual quantities, target timing, destination, and the evidence you will need, such as test reports or certificates. Add photos of a reference part or its installed position only if they reveal nothing confidential.

Keep controlled drawings, customer names and program details for a follow-up with a named company that has accepted your handling terms. A busy booth is a poor place to control who photographs, copies or keeps a drawing.

  • One-page, non-confidential RFQ summary
  • Reference photos cleared for sharing
  • Business cards and a booth record, on paper or a phone
  • A list of the drawing numbers and revisions you will send later, not the drawings themselves

Questions to Ask at Every Booth

Ask each exhibitor the same questions so the answers can be compared later. Specific questions about your part get more useful answers than a request for the general catalog.

  • Do you manufacture this part, or source it from another factory?
  • Which operations are done in your own plant, and which are subcontracted?
  • Can you work to our drawing, or do you supply only your standard range?
  • Which materials and finishes do you produce regularly for this part family?
  • Which test reports, certificates or inspection records can you provide, and for which products?
  • How do you handle tooling ownership, samples and first article approval?
  • Who will receive our RFQ, and when can you send a formal quotation?

After the Show: Turn Conversations into Comparable Quotes

Send one controlled RFQ to your shortlisted exhibitors within about a week, while the conversations are still fresh. Give every candidate the same drawing revision, quantity scenarios, delivery terms and evidence requirements, and ask each to acknowledge the revision and list any deviations.

Before placing an order, check the contracting entity against Taiwan registration records, compare quotations on a normalized basis, and plan samples or first article inspection. A price given on the show floor is an indication, not a quotation.

If You Cannot Attend

Published exhibitor lists can still be a starting point: search them for relevant manufacturers and send each the same controlled RFQ. You can also submit a private RFQ to TW RFQ, which is reviewed by the operator before any manufacturer sees it; buyers are not charged. A submitted RFQ does not guarantee a match or quotation.

  • One-page, non-confidential RFQ summary ready
  • Reference photos cleared for sharing
  • Booth record template ready

Avoidable risk

Four Show-Floor Mistakes to Avoid

Treating a booth price as a quotation

A price given at a booth rarely states quantity, tooling, finish, packaging or Incoterm. Ask for a written quotation against your RFQ.

Handing over controlled drawings at the booth

Share a summary first, then release drawings to a named company after agreeing on NDA and handling terms.

Collecting cards without notes

Record the company, its role, its processes and the promised next step before leaving each booth.

Assuming the exhibitor is the factory

A booth can represent a manufacturer, a trading company or an agent. Ask, then verify the entity after the show.
